Two weeks away produces more photos than any other fortnight of the year, and they are the ones most worth printing. They are also the hardest to sort: several cities, the same viewpoint shot five times, a phone and a camera with different file types.
MakeAlbum uses the GPS and capture time already inside each file to do the geography for you. Photos taken in the same place on the same day become a chapter; the chapters follow the order you travelled in.

Everything from the phone and, if you carried one, the camera: JPEG, HEIC / HEIF, PNG, WebP, AVIF, up to 50 MB each. Write a two-line brief with the places and dates so the chapter titles use the real names.
Chapters by place and day
GPS clusters the photos by location and capture time splits them by day, so a trip through three cities becomes three or more chapters in the order you visited them. Within each chapter the sharper, better-exposed frames are chosen and the near-duplicates set aside.
Titles from your brief, then approve
Chapter titles and captions are drafted from the brief. Rename anything, move photos between places, choose the page count from 26 to 80, approve, and the book is printed and shipped to you.

Questions
What if some photos have no GPS data?
Camera files and photos with location services off are placed by capture time and content instead. If one lands in the wrong chapter, move it in the editor before you approve.
How many photos can I upload for a long trip?
Up to 300 per album; 50–200 works best. Larger sets take longer to process. If you want more of the trip in print, the album goes up to 80 pages.
Can I add the place names and dates myself?
Yes. The brief is free text of up to a few paragraphs: places, dates, who was there. It grounds the chapter titles and captions, and you can rewrite any of them afterwards.
