## The yearbook that never gets made

A year of family photos is a few thousand frames across two or three phones: school runs, birthdays, a holiday, the same sofa in every season. The idea of an annual book is a good one. The evening it would take to choose the photos is why it rarely happens.

MakeAlbum does the first pass for you. The year is clustered by time and event, the duplicates from two parents photographing the same cake are merged, and the strongest frames are chosen to fill the page count you pick.

## How it works

1. **Upload the year** — Export the year from each phone and upload it all: JPEG, HEIC / HEIF, PNG, WebP, AVIF, up to 50 MB each and up to 500 photos per album. Add a brief with the children's names and the year's big events.
2. **Chapters by month and event** — Capture time groups the year into chapters; a cluster of photos on one day becomes an event of its own. Blurred and repeated frames are set aside, and each chapter is given a draft title from your brief.
3. **Edit, approve, order** — Rename chapters, swap in the frames that matter to you, pick the cover and the page count. Approve, and the book is printed as a 300 × 300 mm layflat hardcover and shipped to you with tracking.

### How many photos should I upload for a whole year?

50–200 per album works best and the limit is 300. If the year is much bigger than that, pick the months or events that matter and upload those; the filter handles the rest.

### Can I make one every year?

Yes. Each album is a separate order with no subscription. Start a new album whenever you like; the previous books stay in your account.

### Who sees my children's photos?

Only you and, if you choose Done-for-you, the MakeAlbum team building your album. Photos are stored privately in EU object storage, never sold, shared or used to train AI, and deleted 90 days after your order ships or as soon as you delete the album.
